This page shares details about our five-day tribute celebrating the life and light of Janeen Lea, who co-owned this station with me and who passed away very suddenly on January 8, 2026.
Janeen was someone who truly lived to shine a light on others. Her kindness, generosity, and limitless heart touched so many people, and this event is our way of honoring that light.
From March 25 through March 29, 2026, The Beacon will air special programming dedicated to Janeen’s life, her favorite music, and the memories she created with so many of us.
Our main celebration of life tribute will take place live on the air and in our Zoom room at 3 PM Eastern on March 29, 2026.
How You Can Participate And/Or Get Involved
Whether you join us live on March 29 or not, we would love for you to share a memory of Janeen. You can record a story, dedication, or message in any of the following ways.

and when the greeting begins, press the pound (#) key to leave your message. - Record Through the Website (look for the record a greeting heading at the bottom of this page)
- Schedule a Recording session with me, and we can go onto zoom and I will record for you

Messages will be shared during the tribute broadcast on March 29. If you would prefer that your message not be played on air, or if you would like only a song or dedication to remain anonymous, simply mention that when you record your message.
Schedule Of Events Over The 5 Days
This schedule is current as of March 6, 2026, and additional details will be added as they are finalized, so check back here from time to time. This is the hub where updates about the events will take place.
- Wednesday March 25 – Westlife Wednesday, starting at 8 AM eastern, Where we’ll celebrate one of Janeen’s favorite groups with Westlife music all day long.
- Thursday, March 26, 2026 – Tyler Herwig Day at 8 AM eastern, where we’ll feature Tyler’s music throughout the day along with Janeen’s two interviews with Tyler Herwig. Tyler is the first up and coming artist we played, and Janeen orchestrated all of that. The interviews will air at 8 AM Eastern, 2 PM Eastern and 8 PM Eastern to close out the event
Friday March 27 – Sunday March 29 2026
Beginning Friday at 8 AM Eastern and continuing through the weekend, we’ll share Interview clips, Past show recordings, Many of Janeen’s favorite songs, and we’ll even learn how to cook!
A detailed weekend schedule of which clip will air and repeat when will be posted soon to this page once I’ve received a few more clips.
Limitless Light, The Janeen Lea Story, At 3 PM eastern on March 29
This will be the Main Tribute Event, where we will do a live broadcast and stream in our beacon zoom room where people will come together to celebrate Janeen’s memory and life.
During this special broadcast, we’ll take a deeper look at the music, memories, and moments that made Janeen so special. Through stories, songs, and your recorded and live dedications, we’ll celebrate the incredible light she brought into the world. And we’re even going to Ireland.

From March 7, 2026 through March 29, 2026, we’ll be doing a special CityPop Popcorn fundraiser in Janeen’s honor. Through this platform, when you buy pretzels, popcorn, etc, half the proceeds go to CityPop, and the other half comes to our fundraiser, and that half will be presented to

during the fringe part of Janeen’s tribute on March 29.
